Syllabus for class 10

Recently updated syllabus for class 10 is available here. Students must go through it once to know about changes and suggestions. It will help them in their effective preparation by making them aware about weightage of topics in their exam. CBSE has released syllabus for all subjects separately for students.To score good marks in exam, they must read important topics.

Some minor changes has been made by CBSE which you can easily observe in the syllabus. like-

1. CBSE decided to discontinue the English Communicative Course for Class IX and X, from 2019-20 session.

2. CBSE has removed some chapters from social science subject, questions from these eliminated chapters will be asked in periodic test but it will not be the part of syllabus for board exam.

The chapters which are removed are listed below:

Unit 2 – Contemporary India – II

Unit 3 – Democratic Politics – II

Three major chapters from Unit III have been dropped, they are –

Democracy and Diversity
Popular Struggles and Movements
Challenges to Democracy
