IITs on World Map: Which Country Your IIT Represents?
Each of our IITs have a unique identity. And so does BITS Pilani, BITS Goa and IISc Bangalore. Here’s a funny look at these institutes and see which country they identify with on a World Map:
- BITS Goa – Bahamas. The tropical beaches; the sun, sand and sea; absolute paradise.
- BITS Pilani – Switzerland. A little expensive..it is Heaven for General Category. Beautiful nation with many intelligent people.
- IISC, Bangalore – Australia. Academic Research is the top priority. Less population. Talented but often overlooked. An Underdog.
- IIT BHU – Nepal. Situated in the North, in the Holy Country for Hindus, it is recently introducing new set of rules to forge a new brand image.
- IIT Bhubaneshwar – Cambodia. Only some of us have heard about it and no one really talks about it. Small and ignored.
- IIT Bombay – United States of America (USA). Most developed and the most popular one too. Entry is not easy. Best you can get.
- IIT Delhi – United Kingdom. Second top on the Popularity List. Considered top notch too. Situated in Capital and Central to the World.
- IIT Dharwad – Khalistan. Everyone is demanding it but everybody knows that it will never be a real entity.
- IIT Gandhinagar – Bangladesh. Alcohol ban. Strong connections with neighbouring nations. Dull celebrations.
- IIT Guwahati – Singapore. Originated mysteriously, this young and vibrant institute has quickly outshined many of the other IITs.
- IIIT Hyderabad – United Arab Emirates. Has developed quickly in the recent days. Young but moving up recently.
- IIT Indore – Belarus. This tiny one has managed to produce world-renowned coders in its past few years.
- IIT Jodhpur – Egypt. Situated in the middle of a desert, it does not have much to show.
- IIT Kanpur – Japan. Situated in the Industrial Capital, it is home to some of the most powerful supercomputers ever made.
- IIT Kharagpur – Russia. Biggest of all IITs. Huge and Powerful, it is often underestimated when compared with the Newer IITs that lead the game today. Seething, it is in a state of Cold War with the other IITs.
- IIT Madras – China. Weird laws but rising slowly and powerfully like a Dragon. Already accepted as a Dominant Power.
- IIT Mandi – Bhutan. Sits in the mountain land, it has its strategic importance.
- IIT Palakkad – Argentina. It’s a big name of the South. We have heard of it. We know nothing else about it.
- IIT Patna – Yemen. Uncertainty rules. Evacuation plan needed.
- IIT Roorkee – India. We remember it for its past glory – its golden days. Today, it is simmering with power ready to move up but no one knows when it will be able to do so.
- IIT Ropar – Canada. Relatively cold. Punjabis rule here.
- IIT Tirupati – Pakistan (of 1947 era). Tremendous political turmoil took place to make it happen.
- ISM Dhanbad (Soon to be an IIT) – Greenland. Is it a nation? Or it isn’t? Well, it is huge and independent too.
