NTSE 2017 – The National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a scholarship programme, for which a national level exam is conducted to shortlist from the eligible candidates. The National Council of Educational Research and Training conducts the scholarship programme for the Class X students and the scholarship is awarded on the basis of their performance in NTSE Stage 1 and Stage 2. Among the two stages of NTSE 2017, the Stage 1 will be held tentatively in first week of November, 2016 and Stage 2 in first week of on May, 2017

NTSE 2017 Selection Process – The NTSE 2017 is a two-stage procedure. Both the stages are described below:
- NTSE Stage-I:The first stage of NTSE is conducted by the State/UT generally in the month of November. Any candidate studying in Class X can register themselves to appear in this stage.
- NTSE Stage-II:The qualifying candidates of Stage-I from across the country appear in this stage, which is held at national level generally in the month of May.
NTSE 2017 Eligibility Criteria – According to the eligibility criteria of NTSE 2017, all the students of X standard are eligible to appear in this scholarship programme. A student applying for the scholarship scheme can be from any state of the country. Students from both government and private schools are eligible to register for the scholarship programme.
NTSE 2017 Application Form – The students applying for the NTSE scholarship programme must register and fill in application for the same through the official links. To obtain application forms in paper mode, either candidates can download from the official link or contact the State/UT officer. They have to submit the duly-filled application form to the state/UT officer after getting it signed by their school principal.
NTSE 2017 Important Dates – The exam body declares all the important dates for the students appearing in the selection process.

NTSE 2017 Exam Pattern – The NTSE examination is done in two stages. For both the stages, the exam pattern is divided into two tests: Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). The tests consist of objective-type questions and are done in paper-pen mode. Each right answer marked by the candidate is awarded 1 mark, thus making the total marks of a test equal to the number of questions asked. There is no negative marking in Stage-I paper, however, in the Stage-II 1/3 mark is deducted for each wrong answer marked in the answer sheet.
NTSE 2017 Admit Card – The exam conducting authority will issue the admit card of NTSE 2017 in offline mode for both the stages. Candidates can collect their admit card from the chief superintendent of the exam center allotted to them.
NTSE 2017 Result – The exam conducting body declares the NTSE 2017 Result of Stage-I exam tentatively in February next year from the test year. The Stage-II or Final result is announced tentatively in November in the exam year.
